When your beloved car reaches age 7, road tax renewal is not possible without an annual inspection, as stipulated by regulations set forth by the Hong Kong Transport Department. You may undergo the inspection by yourself but the process is time consuming (half day minimum) and hence not realistic for those with demanding work hours.
